Hatha
Hatha comes from the Sanskrit words ‘ha’ = sun and ‘tha’ = moon embodying balance between opposing forces. The focus is on stretching and strengthening the body while promoting relaxation and mindfulness through asanas (poses) and pranayama (breath work). Sequences are pitched as a healthy, all-levels, foundational class This style focuses on strength building and alignment. Postures are held for 3 to 5 rounds of breath allowing enough time to really get into each asana. Mobility and flexibility is increased through a sequence of postures while the mind is soothed and stress reduced through breathing exercises.
Hatha flow
This practice is slightly slower than vinyasa flow with a carefully considered sequence that incorporates strengthening and stretching the body and building stamina and confidence through mindful movement. The focus is on alignment and body awareness. Breathing is emphasized in more challenging poses so as to soften into areas that hold tension. Transitions are approached in a calm manner. This class is great for beginners as it’s a slower flow and for advanced students alike to get deeper into familiar poses.
Vinyasa Flow
Vinyasa comes from the Sanskrit word which means linking breath with movement. As we synchronise our postures with our breath, a fluid, beautiful and meditative practice unfolds. These sequences are designed to increase flexibility, strengthen and tone muscles while elevating the cardiovascular system.
Restorative
Restorative is a gentle class that combines yoga, meditation and the healing energetic feel of reiki. This combination allows your body and mind to surrender and relax while deepening selfawareness. Restorative yoga is rooted in three core pillars of physical, mental and emotional wellbeing harmoniously creating a holistic practice and feeling of bliss.
Power Vinyasa
An energising vinyasa flow class inspired by our innovative teachers. Each class has its creative focus rooted in intelligent vinyasa sequencing. This is a unique and dynamic practice that integrates breath, movement, strength, flexibility and balance. It is often described as going on a journey of movement and mindfulness that leaves one feeling transformed on multiple levels. Although these classes may involve some advanced postures, it is pitched for all levels of practitioners
Restorative align
Targeting deep connective tissues like fascia, ligaments and joints, this class involves longer periods of holding and softening into each pose. Postures are for the most part performed on the floor and held for longer periods of time. Engaging our parasympathetic nervous systems response allows for restoration and healing to unfold. We enter an asana by finding our edge, then we become still and allow time to flow. Blocked energy is safely released and we find ourselves more open and restored.
Kids
If kids yoga was to be described in one word , it would be FUN! Yoga for children includes poses to increase strength, flexibility, and coordination. Classes are intended to be joyous and may include age-appropriate games, animal sounds and creative names for poses. It's filled with games, songs, stories, imaginative play, and activities that engage children and give them the tools to feel calmer, happier, and more peaceful inside!
Vinyasa Align
Vinyasa align combines flow practice with a focus on strengthening as we hold our poses for longer to move towards greater alignment. Our breath is channeled to take us deeper into our best version of each asana. Transitioning from one asana to another, is synchronised with breath and the movement counters the previous asana.
